Q&A a Day: What are you looking forward to? A very bright future.

I have the gym, work, husband, puppies, and of course food to look forward to tomorrow.

Caleb’s workout got interrupted, his waffles turned into our pancakes, and our dinner into marinading it tonight and enjoying leftovers instead.

I’ve got classes starting on the 29th and graduation to look forward to at the end of May. Then I will take my certification test for Personal Trainer and attend the IDEA World Convention 2018 in San Diego.

I plan on applying for a job at a local school or on base and maybe teach one of their weekend classes (once I get more training). I will do that until Caleb gets out of the navy in October 2023 and then we will take his much-needed vacation (beard growing break) before we figure out the rest of our lives… to include hiking, travel, and diving.

Then we possibly become dive instructors and live in awesome places and take people to the bottom of the ocean in exchange for their money.

Grudgery

Q&A a Day: Are you holding a grudge? About? Nope.

I cut my pinky knuckle on the playground and then bent my nail so hard to give myself a blood blister on the same finger. I thought I would be picking up Uncle Ed after 4 pm on Friday and came home to change for the gym and cash the check I got for selling my books back a month ago.

Good thing Caleb came with me because I started feeling ill and we went to the store to pick up meat and beer and get home with Uncle Ed in the driveway. The men enjoyed sausages and IPAs while I had some medicinal tea and started to sleep on the couch.

We got to the gym on time Saturday morning and I went to the sauna, tried to lift a weight, went back to the sauna and ended up sleeping in the car to wait on Caleb. I took a two hour nap when we got home while he made us brunch.

Uncle Ed was up for hanging out as long as we didn’t walk another 10+ miles, so the men agreed on the USS Midway to spend the afternoon. We spent two hours on board and then walked to Cheesecake Factory for dinner, because I was the one who wanted a slice, but ordered eggs instead.

We went back to our place to walk the dogs and I had some more tea. We went back to Uncle Ed’s room to watch ‘Big Trouble in Little China’ and Ed noticed how entertained I was only ten minutes in. If I’d have known he had Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias on his hard drive as well I would’ve suggested we watch that instead.

Food List

Q&A a Day: List three foods you ate today: yogurt, lentils, and couscous.

I didn’t have soy or almond milk in the fridge so I mixed my mocha protein powder with my plain Greek yogurt before having a wheat biscuit (cut in thirds) with lentil gravy on two-thirds and peanut butter and strawberry jelly on the other third.

Lunch was couscous with spinach, oranges, and cinnamon (leftovers from the other night) and a sunbutter and jelly sandwich on wheat bread.

Dinner was potato and onions (from Uncle Ed) with chicken and beer (from the store). I added two coconut cookies and a cup of medicine tea to my menu and will be taking some more before bed.

Let the Beet Drop

Q&A a Day: What was peaceful about today?
Walking along the beach and watching the squirrels play; and having beets with dinner.

Fabrics of Time

Q&A a Day: What’s the oldest thing you’re wearing today? It would have to be the mini dinosaurs shirt I got at least seven years ago, even though in less than two months I’ll have been married for ten years!! I work and play with kids and the wedding ring can be a bit of a hazard, and I don’t wear it in the gym either, so it sees less daylight these days.

Next, the grey sneakers I got in June 2014. I’m using them to recover from my broken toe and then I’m going to break in a new pair of shoes!! Then, the blue tights and pink sweater I got in June, my smartwatch I got in September, and most recently my new panties and black socks that were on sale two days ago.
