I don’t have a birthday photo, all I have are these ink foot prints that were taken in the first minutes I was out of the womb. My first photo wouldn’t happen until I was 26 minutes old, by then it was 12:10 a.m. on August 31st. I was born at 11:44 p.m. on August 30th, 1986 in Wiesbaden, Germany. I came into this world weighing 9 pounds 7 1/2 ounces and was a mere 22 inches long. With the help of a conception calculator, it would appear that mom and dad got busy on or about Saturday night December 7th, 1985. During those months in utero I was already being groomed to be a traveler with my parents visiting Luxembourg, Zürich, Salzburg, Belgium, Holland, and in Germany the three of us went to Trier, Hannover, Cologne, Bonn, Berchtesgaden, and Garmisch in the German Alps for my first skiing.
My first concert while still being carried by my mom was 7 months before my birthday on February 21, 1986, my dad took us to see a German noise band from Berlin called Einsturzende Neubauten. Two days later we went to see Psychic TV. On April 4th for my dad’s 23rd birthday we went to the Frankfurt Festhalle to watch Elton John perform, not that I remember any of this.
